Introductions
Hello, welcome to Family Worship Center’s website. Thanks for taking the time to explore our site. Listen to a sermon online. Check out our pictures. Read what we believe. Our hope is that the information here can help you to get to know us a little bit before you visit. Whether you have been attending church since you were a baby or haven’t been in a church for years; whether you are a believer or still trying to figure life out, you will be welcomed here.

Ministries
Children’s ministry – Childrens & kids only
In 2018 we started using the Answers in Genesis curriculum for the 4th – 6th graders. We have continued using it through all of 2019. It is a curriculum that requires teachers to really study and prepare. Our committed teachers do just that. Your kids are getting Biblical knowledge that will help them stay faithful to Christ in the days ahead.
By the time a student goes into the 7th grade, they are no longer attending Jr. Church. They become helpers in the nursery and in the K – 2nd-grade class. I believe that this is beneficial to the teacher and the helper. The helpers have opportunities to serve others in the church and the teachers have an extra pair of hands. Thank you, helpers!
This summer we had one big summer event for the kids. It was our 2nd Annual day at Lori Jean’s Stables. There was a hayride, horseback rides, games, and good food. (My favorite is the hayride!) Thank you to Lori, Bob and family!! We plan to have our 3rd one in 2020.
We had a Christmas play for kids of all ages! Lori Mounce and Lauren Gregory had it on their hearts to put this together. Everyone did a great job. One of the things that really impressed me, was how students in high school all the way down to toddlers, got on the stage together and did their best. You wouldn’t find that sort of unity just anywhere! Thank you to the cast and all the others who helped put this play together.

Youth ministry – Students & teenagers only
Our Life Center is open on Friday nights for basketball for grades 7-12th. Pastor Steve is there teaching the games’ rules, how to shoot, etc. Our goal is to incorporate a time of discussion from a Christian viewpoint on pertinent topics such as sexuality, school, social media, relationships, and abortion. Our youth need to know that the God of the Bible is alive and has something to say regarding what is happening in the culture they are immersed in.
We are in a time of transition with the youth group. This summer we have plans to introduce a young couple and mentor them in youth leadership. We would appreciate your prayers in this matter.
